About Elias Hendricks
Romeo e Guilietta, debut Opera performance in Citta Della Pieve, Italy for a 19-year-old, was just the beginning of an exciting and varied career. Elias has appeared in over 20 Opera Productions and several Musical Theatre productions, such as Lion King in Hong Kong & Motown the Musical on London’s West End. His solo show has been a hit for almost 10 years, and he founded the all Black Male Classical Quartet, Vox Fortura. In 2016 Vox Fortura were semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent and have since travelled the world performing their Classical Crossover Show.
Having Returned home to Birmingham, Alabama after 6 years of living in London, Vox Fortura will make their Symphonic debut as Headliners to start the Opera Birmingham 2022 season. In addition to advancing both his career as a leader in the Classical Soul Crossover genre, Elias is working to build a Birmingham based minority Coalition of Classically Trained Professionals and a Non-Profit for the Under-served Youth of Birmingham. The aim of both is to not only support and highlight talented individuals, but also to help create more opportunities for minorities in the Classical Arena.
